    SST Training FAQ – OSHA 30 & NYC DOB Requirements

    If you already have an OSHA 30 card, you can fulfill the NYC DOB requirements for a full SST Worker Card by completing the following 10-Hour SST courses:

    • 8-Hour Fall Prevention SST Course
    • 2-Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness SST Course

    Yes. You can receive SST credit for training completed within the past five years. Refer to the NYC DOB-Approved SST Course Equivalency List to see how many credit hours you may apply toward your SST card.

    No. OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 courses cannot be combined to satisfy the full 40-Hour NYC Site Safety Training requirement. Workers must complete either the OSHA 10 or OSHA 30, and then take additional DOB-approved SST courses to fulfill the total 40-hour requirement.
